GUARD SCHOOL

In today’s game, everyone wants to be a guard - but very few are actually trained to think, control and lead like one.

Guard School is a structured development program designed specifically for girls who are serious about improving their game the right way. It’s a progressive curriculum that must be earned, level by level.

Most programs focus on drills. Guard School focuses on development, decision making and accountability.

Every athlete starts at Level 101: Court Awareness

The Pathway

Our curriculum is designed to take players from learning the game ➡️ to controlling the game ➡️ to leading the game.

Court Awareness | GS101

This introductory class focuses on building strong fundamentals for guards and perimeter players, including:

  • controlling the game

  • spacing

  • and decision making

Ball Control & Pressure Handling | GS102

Now that she sees the game, can they control it?

We will focus on:

  • Tight handles under pressure

  • Change of pace + direction

  • Protecting the ball

Scoring Reads | GS103

Teaching guards when and how to score.

Focus:

  • Shot selection (good vs bad shots)

  • Finishing

  • Reading defenders (hips, feet, help)
